i see a wee bit of drama has been going on around here this last week while i've been busy dying from allergies. we played both nights this last weekend, and now we have a month off, which is great as i still have not recorded my bass parts on the bluegrass stuff. but a long weekend is coming up, my digital recording mixer is here and hooked up, so i promise i will start laying them down this week.

other than that, not much has been going on other than work and the band, the rest of the time i've spent trying every new allergy medication that came out this summer.

so on to some questions:

do you ever work or do u just play. you been home to MO for 2 weeks and then back to MT for a week and now fishing. wish i had your life.

-i'm happy, but i DO wish i had the life everyone thinks i have.

By the way, what is the motorcycle in the background of the Mustang pictures?

-it is an '84 honda vf1000f interceptor (named "baby")

The bluegrass stuff sounds fun, have you played on any other recordings?

-just some original stuff that still isn't finished.

I am going to read your stuff cause it makes me laugh. I like that...I don't think I'm gonna hug no hookers though. Eww.

-i know, there is no question in there, i just like hookers.

Did you figure out why God doesn't like you yet?

-i'm pretty sure it has to do with my life style. or maybe just my lack of style.

Who is the "anonymous" person above me?

-don't know, they were "anonymous".

Hmmm..looks like by the previous comments you had a "personal assistant" Why'd you give up a good thing?

-i have a weiner, it's not like i'm bright or even moderately swift. and no, i don't know who wrote that, so don't ask.

You got what you deserved.

-i usually do.

you can listen to 40 minutes of crap and still put down my bluegrass????? unk

-i was watching her stolen home porno movie at the time, i promise not to make fun of bluegrass anymore as long as you promise not to make any home porno movies.

Why would you be listening to a PH CD?
I'm taking off from work and going on the road with Dino a little bit, starting tonight!

- see previous answer, and have fun out with dino, just quit taking photo's of everyone's pedal board's. that's a freaky little foot fetish you have there anthony.

paris hilton sucks, and so does kraft easy mac.

i just listened to paris' new album, (39 minutes and 55 seconds of my life i can never get back) and just as forgetable is kraft easy mac. they are both quik, easy, and disgusting. i'm all for dance/techno pop music if it gets the one i'm with hot and bothered, but holy $@#!, a super size viagra slurpy couldn't get me in the mood while listening to that vomit. she said it makes her cry when she hears it, and i know why.

and easy mac? i never thought i would say this since macaroni and cheese is my favorite thing in the whole world, but that stuff is just gross. i took one bite, put the bowl on the floor for my dog to eat, and she went in the living room and puked in one of my flowers. and she only smelled it. i'm the one standing here, tasting ass, listening to her puke in the next room.

uh oh..............

7:17pm

coffee, laundry, dishes, cleaning up dog puke, listening to lenny kravitz, and the worst part, i'm the one having to do all the above! what happened to the personal assistant i asked for? i should be out partying with prostitutes, but noooo, god is a woman and she doesn't like me one bit.

i wonder why.............

ok, 10:51pm update: if you must wash an ink pen with your laundry, make sure you do it with the dark, solid colors, NOT with you whites. any one want some polka dot shirts?

a sunday quikie.

not that kind of quikie, get your mind out of the gutter. and yes, i know i should be at church right now. as it is, i have to be at the drag strip to open the beer garden in about, oh, 8 minutes ago. hence the quikie. yesterday at the strip was fun, unfortuantely us playing got rained out. which sucked. last year all three of the big outdoor shows we were going to do got cancelled due to weather, while all the little informal outdoor stuff always goes off fine. we played friday night to a bunch of artsy types, which was fun, but when it came time to set up last night, in front of a bunch of rowdy race drivers and drunk spectators, rain rain rain. just normal, have a great day, i gotta go!

what a night!

yes, i know i said we had the weekend off, but apparently i was wrong. as usual. so we played at the eagle's club last night, and we had to do it without mic'ing everything up to have a good mix going out on the main speakers since we didn't have our mixer board back from being repaired. after setting up, we ended up with a good sound anyways, which is suprising since the front stage at the eagle's club has terrible acoustics. and even more suprising, we played for a large group of democrats here for some convention. i mean, them being democrats wasn't what was suprising. or the fact that it was mostly young attractive women. and that they could dance well. with each other.

for one thing, they were dressed somewhat conservatively, unlike the majority of the local flora and fauna. even dressed as such, when activelly dancing you still saw the occasional bare midriff or a nice slice of butt-crack. now here is the part that was suprising: i never saw one tattoo the whole night on a chic's pelvis, or hanging out of her crack. here in central montana, when a baby is born and it's a girl, it's like she can't be released to go home until they throw some ink around her waist.

now pay attention ladies, this is good advice, based on my own expert research as the only single member in a rock band, so i've had more than my share of specimens to evaluate:

That prancing unicorn you have tattoo'd on your hip that looks pretty sweet at 18?

At age 40, after having a couple kids, IT LOOKS LIKE A MELTED SNOWCONE!

and i have one more bit of advice that pains me severely to ask you not to do this. and not because i don't want to see you do this, it just makes it hard for me, and the other guys in the band, to keep playing without messing up or just completely stopping the music, and applauding:

if you are going to dance the jitterbug and let the guy flip you upside down in the air, AND you are wearing a short skirt, PLEASE WEAR UNDERWEAR!

i'm back.

and i actually feel great for the first time in years. nothing like a week of fishing everynight and camping away from phones and people to get things in perspective again. so what's next? well, we have a few weekends off from playing, which is good, as we still don't have our equipment back from carvin that we burned up at the relay for life, but it should be here in plenty of time for the lewistown raceway show on the 12th. and, i need to finish building the deck and do the landscaping around the pool i put in my already small back yard. the mustang still needs a new clutch, and the snow plow is still on my four wheeler, which means i have not been riding in the mountains yet this summer.

but life is grand and i'm really looking forward to working on the blugrass/country album i recorded with my two uncles in missouri, uncle howard and uncle bill. i recorded uncle howard playing and singing out on the carport at my parents on a calm night, the sound is great and i have a few seconds of crickets chirping to use in there somewhere. uncle bill came over the following weekend and sat in the living room with headphones on and did his parts. i kicked all the kids out of the house, which worked pretty good, except pop's and toddler found the basement door wasn't locked and snuck in for the last few songs. i'm going to add me playing bass, and maybe a little rythm guitar in a few spots, and maybe a few appearances from the rest of the premonition live band to give it that "modern rock" feel. just kidding about the "modern rock" thing, but i bet unk just spit coffee all over his monitor when he read that. anyways, the first mix of just them sounds great so it should have a great feel to it when we are done. which, as far as finished and released goes, that would probably be sometime in early '07, but fear not. i'm sure i will make a few tracks available through here, and i had to promise unk and unk (and my dad) i would send them the first final mix copies.

so as you can see, i have plenty to do, and i actually WANT to do all of it. i must be feeling half way tough enough to do it all, it's early in the morning, i'm drinking coffee, and listening to the new york dolls. sheesh.

i promise to catch up on the emails i'm behind on and maybe answer a few questions in the next few days.
