abstract art?

actually, it's just my crappy digital camera. i've had it six months and i still have not read the book on how to shoot pictures in the dark. (thanks anthony, for taking the photo's) this was from last friday night, i went snowboarding during the day then came home, went to dinner and played at the eagle's club until 2:00 am. i was a little tired, but at least i didn't break anything snowboarding.

and don't worry anthony, since i've wrecked getting off of the chair lift so many times i lost count, i won't tell anyone that you fell off the lift right after getting on it.

oops.

Sweet Night!

just got home from playing at the Eagle's, and wow, what a fun night. lots of chics dancing together, sure makes it hard to play sometimes. so now i'm home, jacked up on coffee, listening to toto's greatest hits, and playing on the internet again. i shot about an hour and a half of video, which i will try to go through tomorrow and post a song or two. this time i recorded mostly rock songs, since before i always seem to end up with all the slow stuff. we played all of dean's favorite songs, and some were hard to get through thinking of how he played the lines different from mike who is filling in on a semi permanent basis. not that mike played anything wrong, it's just that dean had a different style of playing that really changed the sound of some of the songs.

anyway, i will go now and try to get to some email's i'm behind on and maybe write some more in the premonition live diary. i still have my '05 review in cue, i just have not been in the mood to finish it yet, knowing how the year ended, but i will get to it soon.

be good

coming up

i'm sitting here petting holly dog, drinking coffee, playing on the internet, listening to rick springfield and getting ready to go play at the eagle's club in about 30 minutes. all is well, hope it is good for everyone else, too.

ps, happy birthday to my aunt annabelle!

just normal

it's a new year, i got myself to quit eating painkillers all day every day, and now this comes out:

Painkillers may cut risk of ovarian cancer. By Anthony J. Brown, MD
1 hour, 29 minutes ago

NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - Regular use of common painkillers is associated with a reduced risk of ovarian cancer, according to the results of a recent population-based study.

now, because i'm a quitter, my ovaries are going to fall out. great.

BECKY SCOTT IS A BIKER CHIC!

i sure never thought i would have to write those words in the same sentence. click the link above, or here and check out the pictures. i'm not sure what the story is behind the name "lola goetz", and i don't think i want to know. besides photos of the 1992 Galena High School valedictorian CLAD IN LEATHER, there are a lot of other nice photos around san diego.

it's been a busy week but tonight i will be home and i promise to email and call everyone i'm behind on.

here is a picture from my snowboarding trip. after a hard day riding snow, nothing beats snuggling with messy nae after she has had one of my "magic" mixed drinks, diet coke and chloroform. (don't tell her i posted this photo)

pay attention, this is good advice!

experts say you should learn something new everyday. this is what i learned on saturday: if you come home and your girlfriend is doing a taebo workout in your living room, do not say "yeah, i noticed you put a few pounds on during the holidays". because while taebo may not have improved her waistline any, it sure improved her aim!

actually, it was the rearview mirror post on my '40 ford truck i'm working on, but the girlfriend story sounded better. and no, she did not gain a few pounds, i made that up to.

Deano Beano

Dean passed away yesterday, 1/6/06. There is a tribute page for him on my website, please click the deano beano link above to visit it. Maybe tomorrow i will finish the year in review post i had for today. since i know how the year ends now, i will have to make some changes to it. be good, all.

check it!

we got monday afternoon off from work, so i did a test fit of the new bed i built for my '40 ford. this is the first time it has had a bed on it in 15 years. now i have to take everything apart so it can be sandblasted on friday.

playing at the Eagle's Club last weekend was a blast. mike, the guy filling in on bass for dean, did a great job. unfortunately, there has been no improvement in dean's condition, and we all miss playing with him.

this weekend is looking to be relaxing for a change, no plans or gigs, so i will post more then and answer some questions i have not got to yet.
