i need a nap

i just got home today from a two day snowboarding trip, and i don't think i have a single muscle that doesn't hurt. no bad wrecks and i'm not in a body cast, but it became painfully apparent that i've gained a few pounds and have been skipping out on the daily work outs. but definitely a good week. santa was good to me, i spent the whole day monday working on the bed for my '40 ford truck, which i have not worked on for over 10 years, then the first snowboarding trip of the season, and the band is playing tonight and tomorrow night. sorry to everyone i didn't call or send a card to, but i will catch up to you sooner or later. happy holidays everyone.

oh yea, i have video of 3 songs loaded on my website and i have a couple more hours of video to go through with dean playing with us. at this point the doctors give him very little chance of recovering, so our thought and prayers are with you dean, rest well.

leftovers

first of all, hi to ponyboy- glad to hear from you again, and i still have not got the video feeds to work on my website, i will get it figured out eventually.

and now for the leftovers: random pictures from this past year that did not get used for anything. (long post)

this is from the first night i played with Premonition

this is the guy i talked about who launched a ford explorer 90 feet into the side of a school. you can see where he tore up the bank launching by the fire hydrant, and the part of wall that is boarded up where he hit the school.

setting up on the HCR truck to play a street dance

the only bath i took all summer, you can see the ball that finally dunked me.

yes unk, i really was playing with my cuffs half covering my hand. and with a band-aid, and a ring, and black fingernails....

proof there really are trees in kansas

my mom playing slide guitar

me, messy nae, and some friends in virginia city, mt

people really are more refined in montana than in the ozarks. they may still eat barbecue chicken legs whole, but at least they wear a bib and use a fork.

and finally

they were not kidding when they said i had an "outdoor couch". here is "the unk" trying to learn a jane's addiction song. it was going real well until we got to that dang b chord.

Hey man, just checking out you website. Where did you learn how to do all this cyber stuff, in prison? Do you think you will be coming home for Christmas this year. If you do come home be sure and bring your coat it is so cold here I have had to spoon with "(his wife)". I'm not proud of it, but it is better than freezing to death. Later, xxxxxx

i laughed so hard at that i almost threw up that fourth bologna sandwich i had just eaten.

nothing much exciting this week: work, band practice, laundry. even though he looked at me funny while waiting in line at the mall, i sat on santa's lap and asked for a personal assistant.

preferably one with experience getting cheese whiz out of berber carpet.

finally friday!

i know i said i would post pictures this weekend on the Goff Creek Rod & Gun page, but i lied. i'm leaving in a couple hours to go to a cabin in the little belt mountains and won't be back 'till sunday night.

until then, here is a picture of my sister telling my brother "it's just not polite to wear overalls just because the pockets are big enough to scratch your privates any time you want." she's a law enforcement ranger, so i would assume that she knows these things.

have a great weekend, and feel free to make up your own caption for the pic and post it!

live bits

the last half of this year we have spent getting our live sound down, getting the mix right, cleaning up the instrument signals, and it is really sounding good now. so the last couple nights we've played, i shot some video and will look into doing a podcast of some of it soon.

nothing much else going on, shoveling snow and getting ready to go on a snowboarding trip at the end of the month. i see RangerSis stopped by the comments section as well as "the unk", and les-everyone says hi. no rehearsal this week, and i'm off to a mountain cabin this weekend to hide out for awhile, but tonight: it's Renee's birthday, and i hope she believes in birthday nookie. (as in, don't call my house, i won't answer!)
